The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency claimed it is alarmed regarding the significant quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area every day. The services position designed for intervention encounters a significant influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing website of all buyers and boost access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
